What to do with Joplin old dilapidated buildings

Joplin Mayor Doug Lawson told Newstalk KZRG: “There is a building board of appeals where property owners have the opportunity to say I’ve got plans for it, let’s work on it. Usually the building board of appeals is fairly tolerant of that, up to a point.  A big frustration is property owners that don’t live in town, and they just sort of abandon the property.”
