Carthage man accused of filming circus employees in shower

A man from Carthage is facing felony charges for allegedly secretly filming circus employees in the shower over the weekend.

On February 18th, 2024, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Jasper County Deputies responded to the Tarzan Zerbini Circus located at 1889 60th road in Carthage, Missouri.

Deputies were called when an employee found a cell phone that had been placed in the employee shower room and had recorded several employees and a juvenile in the shower.

Jasper County Sheriff’s Detectives arrived on scene and began interviewing employees.

38-year-old Uriah J. Behl, of Carthage, was taken into custody and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center. Charges for eight counts of invasion of privacy (E Felony) have been filed the Prosecutors Office with a $15,000 bond.

This investigation is ongoing and more charges are possible.
