Joplin City Council to hold closed session followed by open work session
The Joplin City Council will hold a closed session starting at 5 p.m. Monday evening followed by an open work session.
The closed session pertains to leasing, purchasing or sale of real estate by a public governmental body where public knowledge of the transaction might adversely affect the legal consideration therefore as set forth in Section 610.021 (2) RSMo.
The City Council will adjourn at the end and will proceed to the open work session. .
One item to be covered is a Benchmark and Level of Service Analysis from the Matrix Consulting Group
The group’s report, included in the Council agenda, concluded the City of Joplin is providing high levels of customer service to the public but is not meeting some performance expectations for a variety of reasons.
Council members will also review a grant update and will study concepts for a new Justice Center for the City of Joplin.
Both sessions will take place in Council Chambers in City Hall at 602 S. Main.
