Man dead, juvenile medflighted after Nevada, Missouri crash

A man from Nevada, Missouri, is dead and a juvenile was medflighted after a single vehicle accident Thursday evening.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the SUV that 32-year-old Tyler R. Claypool was driving failed to negotiate a curve, went off the road and hit a tree.

Claypool was pronounced deceased at an area hospital. His 14-year-old passenger was flown to a Joplin hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
