McCloskeys lose court case to get guns back used in confrontation with protesters

A Missouri appeals court has ruled that Mark McCloskey will not be allowed to get his guns back.

McCloskey and his wife made international headlines for waiving their guns at racial injustice protesters who walked along a private street in 2020.

He initially filed a lawsuit in 2021 asking for his AR-15 rifle and pistol back.

The McCloskeys pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges stemming from the confrontation.

Governor Mike Parson pardoned the McCloskeys in 2021.

Judge James Down wrote in a court opinion that the permanent forfeiture is a consequence of McCloskey’s guilt.

McCloskey plans to appeal the ruling.
