St. Louis area lawmaker drops out of attorney general’s race
Democratic state Representative Sarah Unsicker is dropping out of the Missouri Attorney General’s race, citing a conflict of interest that recent allegations presented.
Her office reportedly was copied on a criminal complaint against her Democratic primary opponent Elad Gross, alleging that he and his family failed to register as foreign agents for Israel.
This follows Unsicker’s removal from her House committee positions after social media posts showed her with a Holocaust denier and a social media influencer.
House Minority Leader Crystal Quade says the St. Louis County Democrat also could be removed as a member of the House Democratic Caucus before the legislative session begins in January.
Unsicker told her constituents on social media platform X that she will announce her political future in January.
