Longtime KZRG Meteorologist John Wetherbee passes away

Longtime Newstalk KZRG Meteorologist John Wetherbee has passed away.

According to Radio Ink and a newly published obituary, “Big John” Wetherbee first launched his radio weather service in 1997, providing unique forecasts to 161 radio stations nationwide and three networks, in collaboration with the Envision Radio Network.

His extensive expertise led him to serve as Chief Meteorologist for CBS TV stations in Atlanta and Savannah, Georgia, as well as in Nashville and Chattanooga, Tennessee.

We salute John and his years of service to the four-state area as he kept us informed about various weather events day in and day out.
