Relocating Davis Boulevard in Joplin
Joplin – The public is invited to participate in public meetings, either in-person or virtual (online), starting Tuesday, December 12, to learn more about plans to relocate Davis Boulevard at Jasper County Route FF (32nd Street) in Joplin, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.
The in-person meeting will be held 4-6 p.m., Tuesday, December 12 at the Joplin Public Library, 1901 E. 20th Street.
The virtual (online) meeting will be available for two weeks from Tuesday, December 12, until Tuesday, December 26, and can be accessed on their website.
Beginning in the spring of 2025, Davis Boulevard will be relocated approximately 1,000 feet to the east and connect with Stephens Boulevard. Davis Boulevard is being relocated to make room for a future project to build a bridge over the Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) Railroad.
The estimated cost of the Davis Boulevard relocation project is $2.3 million.
Those unable to access either the in-person or online public meetings are encouraged to contact MoDOT’s Southwest District Office at 417.895.7600 and accommodations will be made to share the information and gather feedback.
