Motorcycle hits deer in Dade County; Rider injured
There was a frightening accident Friday evening just after 5:30 on U.S. 160 four miles west of Lockwood in Dade County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says it happened when 73-year-old Oscar L. Bronson of Lamar was riding his 2006 Honda Goldwing motorcycle when he hit a deer in the roadway.
Bronson was ejected from the motorcycle.
He was wearing a helmet.
He was taken to a hospital in Carthage by private vehicle and, fortunately, suffered only minor injuries.
