Driver from Reeds ticketed for D.W.I. following early-morning wreck
A one-car accident on County Road 118 about one mile east of Carthage resulted in injuries to a man from Reeds around 1:15 this (Sunday) morning.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the accident occurred when a southbound 2011 Ford Explorer driven by 31-year-old Riley M. Jordan failed to stop at a stop sign and drove through an intersection, striking a ditch and overturning before hitting a tree.
Jordan was arrested for a Felony DWI (persistent); for driving while revoked and for failure to stop at a stop sign and for driving without wearing a seatbelt.
Jordan suffered moderate injuries.
He was released for medical treatment and was taken by ambulance to a Joplin hospital.
