Carthage VFW Post 2590 to host free first responders breakfast

Carthage VFW Post 2590 is hosting a free first responders breakfast on Monday, November 20th.

The breakfast is free of charge for all local veterans, police officers, fire personnel, EMS, Jasper county Sheriffs department members, and all support personnel.

Post Commander Mike Juris told Newstalk KZRG, “These guys are always out there doing their job, and God forbid something bad happens to you but if it does these are amazing people that show up and take care of you in your time of need. We all recognize the need [for them] and sometimes it goes unsaid so we wanted to make sure they understood that we are thinking about them.”

The breakfast runs from 9 – 11 am and is catered by Sirloin Stockade.
