Pierce City man selected for Missouri Veterans Hall of Fame

Seven military veterans are the newest members of Missouri’s Veterans Hall of Fame.

Ray Carver, of Pierce City, is a 2023 inductee.

His son, Larry, says Ray was a member of the U.S. Army from 1944 to 1946 and served during WW II.

He was a member of the Missouri Army National Guard from 1946 to 1978.

In addition to Carver, the other members included:

* Lowry A. Finley-Jackson, USA – St. Louis, Mo
* Johnny J. Glenn, Jr., USMC – St. Louis, Mo
* Nolan R. Moody, USMC – Springfield, Mo
* Albert “Wayne” Wallingford, Jr., USAF – Cape Girardeau, Mo
* Charles A. Weber, USA – Perryville, Mo
* Seth J. McKee, USA – Cape Girardeau, Mo (honorary inductee).
