Joplin Civil Air Patrol Squadron to address City Council
Joplin, MO Regional Airport – On Monday (Nov. 6) The Colonel Travis Hoover Composite Squadron of the Joplin Civil Air Patrol n will present a Certificate of Appreciation and Plaque to Joplin Regional Airport Manager Bart Starkey.
The ceremony will take place at approximately 6 p.m. in the Joplin City Council Room, 602 S Main Street.
The Col Travis Hoover Composite Squadron has been supported by the staff and management of Joplin Regional Airport for several years.
Presenting the plaque and Certificate of Appreciation will be Lt. Col. Kevin Sidenstricker, Squadron Commander, Col Travis Hoover Composite Squadron.
Acting as a Total Force partner and official civilian auxiliary of the U.S. Air Force, Civil Air Patrol performs missions assigned by First Air Force to rapidly respond in a Defense Support of Civil Authorities capacity to save lives, relieve suffering, prevent property damage, and provide humanitarian assistance.
In addition to its Emergency Services mission, CAP performs Aerospace Education and Cadet Programs as part of its congressionally mandated charter.
