Ground broken on new Airframe and Aviation Maintenance training facility
You see lots of airplanes in the sky but …..who works on them?
In Springfield, Ozarks Technical Community College reportedly has broken ground on a new Airframe and Powerplant (aviation maintenance) training facility at the old Springfield-Branson National Airport terminal.
The program there will teach students to service, maintain, and repair nearly every part of an aircraft.
The average wage for an aviation maintenance professional in Missouri is over $62,000 a year.
The program at the college near Springfield reportedly will open in 2025 with its first 25 students.
