Carthage Fire Department to host pancake feed morning of the Maple Leaf Parade
The Carthage Fire Department is dusting off their aprons as they get ready for their annual Pancake Feed. The all you can eat cookout is a fun way to get Maple Leaf Parade celebrations kicked off.
The feed is being held on Saturday, October 21st just before the Maple Leaf Parade. Carthage Fire Chief Ryan Huntley told Newstalk KZRG the Fire Department’s pancake feed, “has been going on since the early 80’s. They do it the morning of the big Maple Leaf Parade and it’s become a ritual for people. A lot of people from out of town come in and enjoy all you can eat pancakes and sausage and hang out at the parade afterwards.”
The event is being held at the fire station located at 401 W Chestnut St. in Carthage, Missouri starting at 6 am. There is an $8 cover per person but kids under 5 years old eat for free.
