Westbound I-44/Pickerel Creek Bridge OPEN to Traffic Following Replacement Project

The Westbound I-44 bridge over Pickerel Creek in Greene County west of Springfield reopened for all traffic this Wednesday morning.

Work to replace this bridge started in mid May this year. 

In addition to the new bridge, the contractor added new barrier walls, guardrail at the ends of the bridge, and new permanent striping.

Drivers may encounter occasional night time lane closures as the contractor wraps up minor details of the project.
