The Walk to End Alzheimer’s comes to Joplin
The Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s is the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research programs, and it’s coming to Joplin on Saturday, October 14th.
On walk day events kick off at 10am in Mercy Park with registration starting at 9am. The day begins with participants honoring those affected by Alzheimer’s with the poignant Promise Garden ceremony — a mission focused experience that signifies our solidarity in the fight against the disease. The Opening Ceremony will feature local speakers and a presentation of Promise Flowers to honor the personal reasons participants join together to fight Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.
In 2022, nearly 51,000 teams participated in more than 600 Walks across the country, raising more than $85 million.
For those interested in participating you can pre-register online.
