Quincy Atwood, three others and three teams added to NEO Hall of Fame

Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College today (Saturday) inducted Quincy Atwood into the Athletic Hall of Fame in Calcagno Family Ballroom on the NEO campus.
Also inducted into the Hall of Fame were:
- Tony Peters of the 1972-74 NEO Football team;
- Steve Green of the 1972-74 NEO Basketball team;
- Jennifer Cudjoe, of the 2013-15 NEO Soccer team;
- The NEO 1990 and 1995 softball teams; and
- The NEO 1989 baseball team.
Atwood graduated from Carthage High School in 2013, and she was a pitcher for NEO Softball from 2013-2015. In 2015, she earned National Junior College Athletic Association All-American, First Team All-Region and received NJCAA academic honors. She was a member of the 2015 National Runner-Up team and was named to the 2015 NJCAA National Tournament team.
In 2015, Atwood threw 70 out of 71 innings in the NJCAA Region II and National Tournament. She accumulated nine postseason wins, including five at the National Tournament, which also included a victory over number-one seed Salt Lake City Community College. She tallied 226 strikeouts overall.
She finished her NEO career ranking third in the nation, and she graduated with an associate degree in general studies.
After NEO, Atwood played at Texas State University, earning Academic All-American.
