Governor Parson to visit Joplin on Thursday
Parson to attend Boyd Metals project announcement
(JEFFERSON CITY, MO) – Next week, Governor Mike Parson will hold several meetings and attend various events including one in Joplin.
On Thursday, September 21, Governor Parson will travel to Boyd Metals at 1027 Byers Ave. in Joplin for a special project announcement.

On that same day, he will then travel to Springfield to ceremonially sign House Bill (HB) 2 at Kickapoo High School in the Springfield Public School District.
Prior to that day, on Sunday, September 17, Governor Parson and First Lady Teresa Parson will host a benefit concert with St. Louis native Dominic Cheli at the Governor’s Mansion. All proceeds will go to Moving Missouri Forward and the Friends of the Missouri Governor’s Mansion.
On Tuesday, September 19, Governor Parson will travel to Festus for a ceremonial signing of Senate Bill (SB) 45 at Mercy Hospital.
On Wednesday, September 20, Governor Parson will travel to Ridgedale to attend the Correctional Leadership Association Midwest Director’s Regional Conference.
On Friday, September 22, Governor Parson will attend the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s Transportation Futures Summit in Columbia.
