MO Senate Seeks To Amend Minimum Wage Law
Proposition B, from last November’s ballot, phases in minimum wage increases each year until topping out at $12 per hour in 2023. Voters in Missouri approved the minimum wage hike by a 62 percent margin just last year. But a proposal in the Missouri Senate would undo at least part of that. One proposal would pay those 18 years of age and under only 85 percent of the minimum. Another targets workers who receive tips. No formal bill has been introduced yet.
