U.S. 400 at Cherokee to close for rail crossing repairs

Wednesday and Thursday, Sept. 13-14, the South Kansas & Oklahoma (SKOL) Railroad plans to close and repair the crossing on U.S. 400 at Cherokee.

The crossing will be closed to traffic between the hours of 6 a.m. Wednesday and 6 p.m. Thursday.

Eastbound U.S. 400 traffic will detour south on K-7 to K-103, east on K-103 to U.S. 69, and north on U.S. 69 to the U.S. 400/K-171/U.S. 160 junction.

Westbound traffic will take the same detour in the opposite direction. Updates are available at www.kandrive.gov.
