Frontenac police searching for two suspects after Friday shooting
Police in Frontenac, Kansas, are searching for two suspects after a shooting in a residential neighborhood Friday evening.
Authorities say officers were dispatched to 212 W. Lincoln Street, in Frontenac, in reference to a shooting incident.
The victim, Kenneth Phillips, reported he was inside his home when he saw a stranger running towards his house. Phillips then noticed his motorcycle had been pushed over onto the ground in his driveway.
As he ran towards a suspicious white SUV, one of the suspects, 28-year-old Sage Spragg, of Pittsburg, allegedly fired a shot at him.
Phillips was not injured.
The front seat passenger who knocked his motorcycle down was later identified as 27-year-old Kristen Romesburg, of Weir.
The suspects left the area driving southbound at a high rate of speed on Mount Carmel Road.
Later that evening, nearby auhtorities located the suspect vehicle being driven by 58-year-old Ruby Spragg, of Cherokee. Authorities say she was uncooperative with officers but the two other suspects were not found at that time.
The suspect vehicle was seized at that time for processing as their search for the two involved in the initial incident continues.
