Man from Pierce City seriously injured in Friday accident

One man was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash on Route PP, three miles east of Pierce City Friday afternoon.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the wreck occurred when a 2002 Ford F250, driven by 30-year-old Trevor W. Davis of Pierce City traveled off the right side of the roadway.

The truck then returned to the roadway, crossed the center line and went off the left side of the roadway. It then overturned, ejecting Davis.

He was taken to Freeman Hospital in Joplin with serious injuries.
