Pittsburg woman sentenced in methamphetamine case
A woman from Pittsburg will spend more than a year behind bars for possessing meth. Read the full press release from the Cherokee County Sheriff’s Office below:
Misti Dawn Caton, 36, of Pittsburg, was sentenced to prison earlier this month after failing to comply with the terms of probation stemming from a 2018 case, where Caton pled guilty to possessing methamphetamine.
On May 3, 2023, Caton was ordered to serve her original 15-month term of imprisonment.
Caton is being held in the Cherokee County Jail pending transfer to the Kansas Department of Corrections and was prosecuted by the Cherokee County Attorney’s Office.
