Semi truck smashes into fire truck and Highway Patrol squad car in Catoosa
Police in Catoosa, Oklahoma said in a Facebook post that both firefighters and an Oklahoma state trooper are lucky to be alive after a semi truck driver smashed into a Catoosa Fire Truck and an Oklahoma Highway Patrol squad car on Friday.
The firefighters and the OHP were investigating a rollover crash on Highway 412 near the Creek Turnpike when the crash took place.
Amazingly, no emergency crew workers suffered any injuries.
Chief Ronnie Benight of the Catoosa Police Department said:
“This post was not meant as an indictment of our truck drivers who work hard insuring we have what he need on our tables. In my opinion, many things led to this particular incident which also included the high winds which led us to be there in the first place.”
