Grove woman dies in crash south of Wyandotte

A woman from northeastern Oklahoma died a little before 9:30 this morning in a car accident on Highway 10 about 5 miles south of Wyandotte.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 22-year-old Paige Darian Martin, of Grove, lost control of her vehicle due to wet road conditions and unsafe speeds. The patrol report says she crossed the center line and struck a vehicle operated by 31-year-old Kenton Jackson of Grove.

Martin was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jackson was pinned for 15 minutes before being freed by the Wyandotte Nation Fire Department.

The OHP says he was transported to a Joplin hospital.
