Joplin Schools announcing hiring of Interim Assistant Principal
JOPLIN, Mo. – Joplin Schools is pleased to announce Sara Jackson as the new Interim Assistant Principal at Irving Elementary.
Jackson is a Joplin Schools educator with 11 years of experience in Elementary Education, Special Education, and Educational Administration. Her most recent position in the district was as a Special Education teacher at Royal Heights Elementary.
After graduating from Neosho High School in 2009, Jackson earned an Associate’s Degree from Crowder College and a Bachelor’s Degree from Missouri Southern State University.
She has also earned a Masters in Educational Administration from Missouri State University.
“We are excited to have Sara assume the role of interim assistant principal at Irving Elementary,” said Joplin Schools superintendent Dr. Kerry Sachetta. “Her years of teaching experience and her ability to problem solve in groups will help her be successful. She’s always willing to jump in to do what it takes for the benefit of students.”
Jackson steps into the interim assistant principal position immediately, succeeding Bre Faircloth who recently joined Royal Heights Elementary as head principal.
“I’m excited to join the staff at Irving to support students and teachers during this transitional time,” said Jackson. “I’m looking forward to building strong relationships and making a difference for students.”
She and her husband JD have five children: Charles, Elizabeth, Kaylie, Avery, and Paisley.
Their family enjoys being outdoors and trying new things together.
