Midwest Trumpet Festival & SEK Symphony Concert Sunday, Monday

(Pittsburg, Kan.) – The two-day Midwest Trumpet Festival, under the direction of Todd Hastings of the PSU Music Department, will feature some of the best trumpeters in the nation.

Included will be workshops and recitals for middle, high school, and college students, and a concert with the Southeast Kansas Symphony Sunday at 7 p.m. that is open to the public.

The concert includes many Latin American musicians who for the seventh season have been visiting the PSU campus to strengthen an ongoing artistic collaboration among institutions.

That effort is  under the direction of Raul Munguia of the PSU Music Department.
