Two Mexican nationals charged with illegally possessing weapons

Two Mexican nationals have been charged with violations of United States law in indictments returned by the Grand Jury in the Northern District of Oklahoma.

34-year old Damien Arevalo-Hernandez is charged with possession of a firearm by an alien illegally in the United States and unlawful re-entry of a removed alien.

Hernandez  is charged with possessing an Astra .25 semi-auto pistol while unlawfully being in the U.S. He is also charged with unlawfully reentering the United States after having been removed.

28-year-old Gilberto Jessi Vazquez-Monoz also is charged with possession of a firearm by an alien illegal in the U.S. He is charged with  possessing a Phoenix Arms Co. .22 caliber pistol while knowing he was unlawfully residing in the United States.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and Explosives, the U.S. Immigration Service and the Owasso, Oklahoma police are the investigative agencies.
