Driverless tractor kills man in southeast Kansas
A man described as a pedestrian was killed over the weekend after a driverless tractor hit a truck and then him.
It happened off Northwest Liberty Road in Cherokee County around 11 a.m. Saturday morning.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the tractor struck a 2006 Chevrolet truck and then slammed into 73-year-old Joseph M. Carlson.
Carlson was transported to Via Christi Hospital where he was pronounced dead about an hour later.
