Longtime teacher Caroline Tubbs passes away
She spent 44 years teaching in public schools.
Longtime teacher Caroline Tubbs, who taught for most of that time in the Carthage school system, has passed away.
That’s according to a news release from the Carthage School System.
Tubbs earned a Bachelors in English Education from Southwest Missouri State Univrsity in 1963 and a Masters in Secondary Teaching from Pittsburg State University in 1974.
Over the years, she taught nearly every English Language Arts class offered at Carthage High School.
On occasions she taught students in different generations.
Carthage Superintendent Dr. Mark Baker says district counselors will be available to aid grieving students and staff members at Carthage High School.
Caroline Tubbs was 81 years old.
