Canvases of Hope will be posted around Joplin for suicide prevention month
A person dies by suicide every 8.7 minutes; that’s more than 125 lives lost everyday according to the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention.
This Suicide Awareness Month, Ozark Center Crisis Services will create canvases of hope throughout the city of Joplin. You can join them as the community comes together to share their messages of hope and stories of survival.
You can stop by one of their five locations on Friday, September 23rd, and write your message on one of painter’s canvases. Crisis counselors will also be available at each location to share, chat and provide resources. After the event, the completed canvases will be displayed in Ozark Center facilities.
