Wanted Felon located in detached garage; three arrested in Pittsburg
On Friday, Sept. 9th, around 4:08 p.m., an officer with the Pittsburg Police Department observed a wanted felon, 30-year-old Brittany Jane Bowling, of Weir, Kansas, enter a detached garage at a residence in the 1200 block of E. 8th St., in Pittsburg. Officers believed that Bowling was possibly staying in the garage.
Officers spoke with the resident, who allowed officers to search the detached garage. Officers entered the garage and encountered 29-year-old William Avery Kukovich, of Opolis, Kansas. Officers detained Kukovich, who informed officers he was the only one in the garage.
After a search of the garage, officers located Bowling in the attic.
,She was arrested for warrants out of the Pittsburg Municipal Court, Crawford County District Court, Cherokee County District Court, and Newton County, Missouri, District Court. She was additionally charged with Felony Interference with Law Enforcement. Bowling was booked into the Crawford County Jail and is being held without bond.
Kukovich was arrested for Felony Interference with Law Enforcement. He was booked into the Crawford County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
The resident, 31-year-old Mary Elizabeth Williams, of Pittsburg, was arrested for Obstructing Apprehension of a Felon for knowingly harboring Bowling. She was booked into the Crawford County Jail on a $2,000 bond.
