Independent Senate Candidate Wood Delivers 20K Signatures to Secretary of State
Independent U-S Senate candidate John Wood delivered 20 thousand signatures today to the Missouri Secretary of State’s office.
Wood needed ten thousand signatures to qualify for the November election ballot and collected more than double the required amount.
He served as U-S Attorney for the Western District of Missouri when President George W. Bush was in the White House.
Wood says he’s still a conservative Republican but is running as an independent because the G-O-P and Democratic candidates are too extreme.
The Missouri Stands United political action committee plans to spend up to 20 million dollars on Wood’s campaign.
Missouri voters will pick their candidates for the U-S Senate in Tuesday’s primary.
