Racine woman hit, killed by motorcycle early Tuesday

A woman from Racine, Missouri, was killed after being hit by a motorcycle early Tuesday morning.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says it happened at 4:10 am on Route K, about a mile southwest of Racine, when 32-year-old Johanna R. DeRose was struck in the roadway by a 2001 Honda CMX250 driven by 40-year-old Nicholas D. Livermore, also of Racine.

DeRose was pronounced dead at the scene.

Livermore was ejected from the bike and suffered serious injuries.

This is Troop D’s 66th fatality of 2022.
