Webb City man killed in motorcycle crash Tuesday night

A man from Webb City was killed in a crash late Tuesday night. Read the full press release below:

On Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 22:23 hours, officers with the Webb City Police Department were called to the intersection of Rangeline and Zora in Webb City in reference to a traffic crash between a motorcycle and a passenger car.

Officers’ investigation has found that the motorcycle was southbound on Rangeline and struck a passenger car that was northbound on Rangeline, turning westbound onto Zora.

Witnesses at the scene told officers that the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate speed prior to striking the front passenger side of the turning passenger car.

The motorcyclist, & sole occupant of the motorcycle, was ejected from his motorcycle and was transported to a local hospital by ambulance where he succumbed to his injuries.

The motorcyclist has been identified as 28-year-old Juan Gabria Gonzalez-Correa. Mr. Gonzalez-Correa’s family has been notified of his death.

The driver of the passenger car was a 22-year-old man from rural Webb City.

Officers with the Webb City Police Department are continuing their investigation of this crash.
