Missouri Broadcasters Association presents 2022 Awards

The Missouri Broadcasters Association presented its 2022 Awards on Saturday, June 11th.

On Saturday night, more than two hundred awards were presented to radio and TV stations during the MBA  Awards ceremony.

NewsTalk KZRG received a Certificate of Merit for Medium Market Radio for its noon-hour news broadcasting.

The stations of Zimmer Broadcasting in Joplin received a First Place Award for the “Zimmer Cares” campaign. The effort, which has existed for several years, honors outstanding non-profits in the KZRG listening area.

The stations involved in Zimmer Cares included KIX 102.5, NewsTalk KZRG, Kissin 92.5, Classic Hits 93.9, Big Dog 97.9, and AM 1230 The Talker.

Other awards included:

• First Place – KXDG, Video for Radio – Med. Market Radio – The Chris “Purple” Hayes & Bobby Show on Big Dog 97.9 – Mayo Coffee
• Certificate of Merit -Med. Market Radio – KIXQ, Anderson Car & Tractor – Kubota Envy
• Certificate of Merit – Med. Market Radio – KXDG, Freeman Health System “Survivor Stories”
