Autopsy: Bluejacket man died of fentanyl overdose in Ottawa County Jail

A new autopsy has found that a man from Bluejacket, Oklahoma, died of an accidental fentanyl overdose while he was being held in the Ottawa County Jail last fall.

38-year-old Michael Victor died November 13 after other inmates reported that he was having medical issues and had apparently stopped breathing.

Detention staff then rendered aid before Victor was transported to Miami Integris Hospital. Victor died at the hospital.

This autopsy does says that Victor also suffered from a Hypertensive atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease but that the toxicity of fentanyl was listed as his probable cause of death.
