Elk River drowning victim identified as Neosho man
A man from Neosho has been identified as the victim of a drowning in McDonald County.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says 40-year-old Matthew D. Frazier entered Elk River to retrieve a boat paddle and got swept downstream. The patrol report says Frazier was overcome with exhaustion and drowned.
He was pronounced deceased just after 10 a.m. Monday.
The drowning happened about a half-mile south of Ginger Blue.
