Springfield physician pleads guilty to charges involving an Uber driver’s assault

Springfield station KY3 reports Springfield plastic surgeon Dr. Bharat Shah has pleaded guilty  to charges involving the assault of an Uber driver.

Back on May 7th, deputies responded to a 12:30 a.m. 911 call from Shah saying his Uber driver wouldn’t stop and he was going to kill him.

What Shah didn’t know was that the Uber driver could only communicate in writing due to a hearing impairment.

The judge suspended a jail sentence but Shah will have to pay a fine, attend a class and have no contact with the driver.
