Man from Joplin arrested sleeping in pickup

Joplin Police arrested 34 year old Donald Hignite early Friday morning at a west side convenience store.   

According to Captain William Davis, police found Hignite asleep in a pickup truck at the gas pumps and had to break out the rear window in order to get him out.   

Hignite was arrested on two outstanding warrants plus additional charges.  

The pickup he was in had been reported stolen in Oklahoma.
