Crash at Highway 43 – Route M intersection injures two

Two people were injured, one seriously, after a crash at the intersection of Highway 43 at Route M, about 10 miles south of Jasper.

It happened at about 6:15 Monday night.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says an eastbound car driven by 20-year-old Katlyn R. Christiansen of Wichita failed to yield to a southbound car driven by 35-year-old Ralph D. Moyer of Frontenac, Kansas.

Christiansen suffered serious injuries. Moyers was only slightly injured.

Both drivers were transported to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin for treatment.
