Pineville man killed in scooter accident on US-71

A man from Pineville has been killed in a scooter accident on Highway 71.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says it happened just before 830 Monday morning in Jane when 58-year-old Talfey W. Reeves tried to make a U-turn on his scooter in the road.

That’s when he was hit by another car.

He was pronounced dead at the scene a short time later.
