Public Meeting Scheduled for New Low Water Bridge
As the city of Joplin looks to start construction of the new bridge over Shoal Creek, a public meeting will take place Thursday for area property owners.
Following the completion of the new wider bridge, the existing low-water bridge, which has been designated as a historic landmark, will be used as a pedestrian walkway connecting to the existing trails in McIndoe Park.
The two million dollar project is expected to be completed in the summer. The informational meeting starts at 4:30 Thursday evening in City Hall.
