Woman sentenced to 15 years without parole in drug-trafficking case

A Springfield, Missouri, woman has been sentenced in federal court for her role in a conspiracy to distribute large amounts of methamphetamine.

25-year-old  Cassidy R. Clayton was sentenced to 15 years in federal prison without parole.

Clayton pleaded guilty in 2019 to taking part in the drug-trafficking conspiracy and to participating in a money-laundering conspiracy.

Clayton admitted that she received methamphetamine on 10 occasions to distribute to dealers.

Clayton is the fourth person to be sentenced in the case.
