Two people injured in Wednesday afternoon crash in Newton County

Two people were injured during a Wednesday afternoon crash in Newton County at 12:05 PM.

The incident took place on US Highway 60, about 5 miles east of Seneca, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash report.

The patrol says 51-year-old Seneca resident Bruce Hall travelled off the roadway and overturned; also in the vehicle was 43-year-old passenger Mandy Betsch of Neosho.

Betsch was wearing a seat belt; Hall was not.

Both were transported to Mercy Joplin and treated for serious injuries.
