Oklahoma Dept. of Corrections investigating inmate death
The Oklahoma Dept. of Corrections says it’s investigating the killing of an inmate at a private prison in Lawton.
The agency said in a press release the body of 29-year-old Riley Walker was discovered Monday morning at the Lawton Correctional Facility.
The agency says Walker’s cellmate, 43-year-old Aaron Stone, confessed to the killing. DOC spokesman Justin Wolf says investigators with the agency’s inspector general are investigating the incident and will forward their report to the local district attorney for consideration of charges.
Walker was serving a life-without-parole sentence for first-degree murder in Pontotoc County.
Stone is serving time for rape, sodomy, robbery, kidnapping and cruelty to animals out of Comanche County.
