BBB advises consumers to use caution when dealing with digital vaccine passports
More and more businesses are now requiring Covid-19 vaccination for entry
Use caution when you see offers for digital vaccine passports.
That comment comes from the Better Business Bureau as more public places begin requiring proof of vaccination against Covid-19 for entry.
Currently, the only way proof of vaccination that’s offered is the paper card that consumers receive when they get their shot.
Some states have developed smartphone apps that allow residents to access vaccine documents via their devices, but Missouri is not one of them.
BBB St. Louis President and CEO Michelle Corey says, “If you knowingly buy a falsified vaccination card or other vaccine passport, you are creating a health risk for yourself and others, supporting the work of scammers, and putting your personal information in jeopardy.”
