City of Joplin employee to retire this October
Dan Pekarek has been with the city for 35 years
An employee with the City of Joplin will be retiring this October.
Announced today by City Manager Nick Edwards, Assistant City Manager Dan Pekarek will retire effective October 4, 2021.
Perakek has been with the city for 35 years, serving previously as Public Health Director for 23 years and then appointed Interim City Manager in March 2019 – March 2020.
He was later named Assistant City Manager in June 2020.
