One person injured and another dead following weekend Oklahoma Crash
An investigation is underway
One person was injured and other dead after a late Sunday night crash that occurred on US Highway 69 A around Country road E, within 3 miles of Quapaw.
An Oklahoma Highway Crash Report says one vehicle, a 2014 Honda Accord, driven by an unnamed 17-year-old male from Baxter Springs, was traveling northbound US-69A while another vehicle, a 2017 Nissan Sentra, driven by 43-year-old Miami resident Isner Made was travelling southbound on the same road.
The two vehicles then collided head on.
The 17-year-old male suffered life threatening injuries in the crash and was taken to Freeman West in Joplin.
Made was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation into the crash is being conducted; both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.
